Our team member Asvestas Alexandros presented his MSc research at the 9th Symposium of the Hellenic Society for Archaeometry (HSA). Under the theme “Materializing the Past: Narratives via Archaeological Science”, the Symposium focuses on the cultural heritage of Greece, the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean region, aiming to promote current research, evaluate methodologies and explore future scientific trends.
His work, entitled “Multi-Sensor UAV Remote Sensing Workflow for Detecting Buried Archaeological Features at Thermi (Lesvos) and Its Application to Arisvi (Lesvos)”, focuses on the integration of drone-based multispectral and thermal remote sensing techniques to identify subsurface archaeological features in the region of Lesvos. This study demonstrates how multi-sensor UAV workflows can enhance archaeological prospection and support heritage management through non-invasive geospatial analysis.
Congratulations to Alexandros for this important contribution and successful presentation!
