We are proud to announce that Panagiota Papachrysou, Ph.D. candidate and member of our research group, has achieved her first scientific publication from her PhD research! Her article,
“Quality of Life Indicators and Geospatial Methods Across Multiple Spatial Scales: A Systematic Review”, has just been published in Urban Science (IF 2.9). In this systematic review, Dr Panagiota and her co-author and supervisor Asst. Prof. Christos Vasilakos examine the indicators, data sources, and analytical methods used in the literature to assess quality of life at different spatial scales in cities. By synthesizing existing research, the paper provides a clearer picture of how geospatial tools and quality-of-life metrics interact, contributing to more robust urban analysis and planning.
This achievement marks an important milestone in Panagiota’s academic journey and highlights the relevance of her work for the fields of urban science, geospatial analysis, and quality of life research. The publication is openly accessible and contributes new insights to how we understand and measure urban well-being through spatial data and indicators.
Congratulations Panagiota on this excellent achievement — we look forward to many more research successes!
