Nikolaos Koroniadis is a graduate student in the Master’s Program in Geography and Applied Geoinformatics at the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean, for the academic year 2024–2025. His primary academic interests include remote sensing, photogrammetry, and geospatial data analysis. During his studies, he has completed courses such as Remote Sensing and Digital Image Analysis and Special Topics in Applied Geoinformatics. He holds a diverse academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (2016) and a Master’s degree in Global Challenges and Systems Analysis from the University of the Peloponnese (2021). He has also completed the specialized GIS, Mapping, and Spatial Analysis program offered by the University of Toronto via the Coursera platform, focusing on geoinformatics tools and techniques for satellite data analysis.

Alongside his academic career, he serves as a flight instructor on T-6A aircraft at the Kalamata Air Force Base. His research interests include artificial neural networks, deep learning methods, and the use of data from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and satellite imagery for geoinformatics applications. Nikolaos is proud to be a member of the Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science (RSGIS) Research Group at the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean, and is committed to advancing knowledge, sharing experiences, and fostering collaborative research.
