Eleni Dimitriou holds a degree in in Oceanography and Marine Sciences from the University of the Aegean and is currently pursuing an MSc in Geography and Applied Geoinformatics at the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean. During her undergraduate studies, she was introduced to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and developed a strong interest in spatial data analysis and processing. She completed an internship focused on geographic data processing and the creation of cartographic products, while also gaining experience in Python programming for GIS applications. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the development of geoprocessing tools for studying the quality of the marine environment. Her main research interests include Geographic Information Systems, remote sensing, geospatial data processing, cartography, and Python programming.
