
Alexandros Asvestas holds a BA in Archaeology from the University of Thessaly (2017), an MA in Greek and Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2018), and an MSc in Geography and Applied Geoinformatics from the University of the Aegean (2025). From February 2026, he is a PhD candidate at the University of the Aegean, researching Geospatial Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing for archaeological landscapes. His work focuses on integrating geoinformatics, UAV remote sensing, and AI for archaeological detection and landscape interpretation.
